Where are they now? Andy Mook

This installment of Where are they Now? features one of the most influential people ever to hold a stake in the Tommy Hutton Baseball Academy- Coach Andy Mook. Now the head coach at Jupiter High School, Coach Mook shared his passion and baseball knowledge with thousands of THBA attendees from 2003-2013. Known for his high energy, superb organizational skills and sense of humor, Mook led THBA programs in almost every managerial role including the camp’s Director. In recognition of his outstanding contribution, Mook has been inducted into the THBA Hall of Fame.
Said Mook: “The THBA is a great organization that I had the pleasure of being a part of for 10 years. I had a wonderful time instructing baseball to so many talented young ball players of all ages. The staff was always talented, hard working, and caring individuals who wanted to get players better by enhancing their skills. I thank the THBA for the opportunity they allowed me to apart of them and the great times we had.”
Mook will be honored at the August 6-10 skills camp, the final camp on the 2018 summer calendar. In addition to several special back to school promotions that will run throughout the week, the THBA will be discounting the enrollment fee by $50 in honor of Mook. Individuals interested in registering for Andy Mook’s HOF week should enter promotional code: mook on the camp registration page.
Coach Mook will be honored in person during the camp’s awards presentation from 2:45-3:00pm on August 10th in the stadiums party deck. During that time, the story of Mooks’ amazing baseball journey will be shared. Perhaps highlighted by winning the 2018 Class 9A state championship as head coach for the Jupiter Warriors, Mook’s impact has had far greater reach. Prior to taking over as the head coach of the Warriors, Mook had an incredible run at Palm Beach Lakes High School in West Palm Beach. There, he took several groups of novice players from the inner city and not only achieved success on the field but developed hundreds of young men into upstanding citizens by using baseball as a way to speak into their lives.
“I’ve known Andy almost my entire life. He and my brother were very close friends. I always admired his positive outlook, persistence, and the unwavering faith he has in himself and others. He and I worked very closely building the THBA into a place where young players could develop not only as players but also good citizens. When you look at the impact he’s had in our community over the last 18 years, it’s apparent that he is a very special individual whose purpose is far greater than winning baseball games. As one of the only local coaches whose been able to win the whole thing, I’d say he’s pretty good at that too!” commented camp founder Brian Justine on Mook’s induction into the THBA HOF.
On behalf of everyone associated with the THBA, we’d like to congratulate Coach Andy Mook on being inducted to our Hall of Fame.
