January ’19 Tip of the Month: Seeing the Ball

Orioles Manager Brandon Hyde was a regular at the THBA from 2010-2013.

For the January 2019 Tip of the Month, we went to the vault and pulled out a clip of newly hired Baltimore Orioles manager Brandon Hyde giving a hitting demonstration at a 2012 THBA camp. In the clip, Hyde discusses the importance of a hitter being able to keep his head still to most effectively see and track the ball. At the time, Hyde was coaching in the Miami Marlins organization and instructing at Tommy Hutton’s indoor batting cages. Click here for January 2019 Tip of the Month.
