Where Are They Now: Tim Lynch

Since 2001, Tommy Hutton Baseball camps have served over 10,000 young, aspiring players. On what now seems like an annual basis, a former THBA camper rises to the top of the baseball world. Perhaps the leader of that group is Tim Lynch. For several consecutive summers during his youth, Lynch could be found honing his skills and falling in love with the game at THBA summer camps. A somewhat novice player when he first began attending skills camps, Lynch quickly developed solid fundamental skills and turned himself into an above average player. His breakthrough came during his time playing for the Tommy Hutton Heat as a 13 year old. Lynch began to show signs of being an elite hitter and above average defensive player. After starring for THBA director Frank Torre at Dwyer HS, Lynch earned a scholarship to attend Division I power Southern Miss. Following four impressive seasons at Southern Miss, Lynch was selected in the 9th round of the MLB draft by the New York Yankees. Lynch has played three seasons in the Yankees organization and has slugged 15 home runs. Lynch is pictured above with MLB player Paul LoDuca as an 11 year old at a THBA camp. LoDuca was the professional guest during the week and interacted with over 100 attendees. To honor Lynch’s incredible ascent and success, the THBA has inducted him into their Hall of Fame.
