World Series Week Recap: June 25-29, 2018

World Series Week took place at the THBA from June 25-29, 2018. The week featured a seven game series between the THBA Hammerheads and THBA Cardinals. With the series tied 3-3, the THBA Cardinals won the decisive game seven on Friday afternoon. The format used for the week featured instructional sessions from 9-10am each morning followed by series play the remainder of the day. The camp took a break for lunch from 12-1pm each afternoon and were treated to Chef Jerry’s world famous hot dogs and piping hot pizza from Baldino’s in Tequesta. The week also featured an athletic performance session led by Kyle Webber from SAS Jupiter and a special meet and greet and autograph session with Cardinals prospect Shane Billings. On Thursday, 6/28, the group participated in Super Splash day at Roger Dean which included water rides and activities and a game between the Jupiter Hammerheads and PB Cardinals. The THBA was blessed to be able to enjoy the game from one of the stadiums luxury suites. To conclude the week, Director Frank Torre provided a recap and honored Cody Spear and Caleb Elias (pictured) for their outstanding play, attitude and hustle throughout the week. The THBA resumes camp July 2-6 at Roger Dean when they will host a hitting camp from 9-noon. Limited space remains. The next skills camp of the summer is scheduled for July 16-20.
