Spring Break Was Made For Baseball!
With beautiful weather, a much needed break from school, the world’s best players in town for the month, and local youth leagues in full swing, spring break and baseball have always been a perfect marriage in south Florida! For the last nineteen years, the Tommy Hutton Baseball Academy has served as a vessel for local ballplayers to absorb everything that makes spring break in Palm Beach County so special.
“We’ve always tried to create a spring break program that is a “dream” week for young players,” commented THBA GM Brian Justine.
2019’s version of this very popular camp may be the best yet. Featuring two supervised visits to Roger Dean to watch spring training action, the week will also include a private meet and greet with a Marlins player. In 2015, the camp was treated to a get together with reigning NL MVP Christian Yelich (pictured). The camp will also spend an afternoon chasing autographs on the back fields at Roger Dean and enjoy a little down time at nearby Golden Cub mini-golf and Bahama Bucks Snow Cones. And as always, campers will be take part in the THBA’s award winning FUNdamental baseball training program. With spring training monopolizing the fields at Roger Dean, the THBA has partnered with neighboring Independence Middle School where all on field baseball activities will take place. The IMS baseball field is conveniently located in Abacoa, just a few steps away from Roger Dean.
Camp hours are Monday, March 18 through Friday, March 22 from 9am to 3pm. Cost is $275 and includes all camp activities. Registration is available online at www.huttonbaseball.com. Please contact Brian Justine at 561-339-1304 with any questions.
