Miami Marlins and Hutton Academy Launch Partnership

The Tommy Hutton Baseball Academy is proud to welcome minor league players from the Miami Marlins as volunteers on the THBA’s summer camp coaching staff. The Miami Marlins have been working with THBA founder Brian Justine to structure a program that creates opportunities for Marlins players to immerse themselves in the community and work closely with THBA campers throughout the summer at Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium, the home of the Miami Marlins Player Development and Scouting Complex.

“This is very special. Nothing helps a young player fall in love with the game more than meeting and interacting with active professional players. Spending quality time each week learning from Marlins players is an experience our campers will always remember. I couldn’t be more excited about our new partnership with the Marlins,” explained Brian Justine.

The Marlins will join us for the first time on Thursday, June 6th from 1-3pm. The camp will be divided into small groups and rotate through stations led by Marlins players. Topics covered will be hitting fundamentals, pitching mechanics, infield (routine ground balls), baserunning, and outfield (getting a jump/taking an angle).
