Coach Ray White Joins the THBA Leadership Team
Former Miami Marlins prospect and popular local instructor Ray White (pictured left) has been hired to help lead THBA camps forward. With current director Frank Torre and Tino Gaudino taking over the IRSC baseball program, Coach White will be inserted into a leadership role in their absence.
“Coach White is energetic, knowledgeable, and organized. He and I have coached together and I’ve seen first hand how deeply he cares about the young players he coaches. He puts his heart and soul into everything he dos which makes him a perfect fit for the THBA’s mission and purpose. I am pleased to welcome Coach White to the THBA family,” commented GM Brian Justine.
White joins a short list of THBA Directors in the camps 18 year history:
Brian Justine (2000-2008, 2010-2014)
Andy Mook (2008-2010)
Oli Marmol (2015)
Frank Torre (2016-2018)
Ray White (2018-)
Coach White will be teaming up with Coach Tino Gaudino to oversee the final two weeks of 2018 skills camp, July 30-August 3 and August 6-10. In addition to the THBA, Coach White is one of the most sought after private instructors in northern Palm Beach (JTAA) as well as a valued member of the Jupiter Christian School coaching staff. He recently served as 17u coach for Florida Travel Baseball (FTB). White, who grew up in South Central Los Angeles, attended El Camino CC and went onto play two seasons in the Miami Marlins organization.
